I had a similar problem after installing ORBX SCA. I solved it by running the FTX Global Vector Config Tool found in FTX Central2.

Glad to hear that you could fix it! [smile]
Just for clarification, after deleting the 29Palms folder you performed a reinstallation, correct?

Best regards,
Lars

GREAT news, instead of hunting for files to delete, I went ahead and did the following:

- Delete the 29Palms folder from  MYPC:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3
- Launched 29Palms - Updater.exe and got latest version of 29 palms
- Launched the 29Palms - Scenery Configurator.exe and it started perfect
- Downloaded and installed the FTX SCA Compatibility and Expansion Fix

THUMBS UP!   Is there an email address I can contact you directly for non-support related discussion!? Feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the feedback! [smile]
I can't tell exactly what went wrong but it can happen that, when the Configurator or the Updater
resets to default in order to install the new files, a file exists in both on and off states. Possibly due
to a high hard drive load at the time.
What you can do is to check the scenery folder of Twentynine Palms and look for files with the same
file name with both ".BGL" and ".BGL.OFF" ending. For example:

"ADE_TNP.BGL"
"ADE_TNP.BGL.OFF"

If that's the case, try deleting one of the files. If that still doesn't help I would recommend a fresh install
by first deleting the whole 29Palms folder and then installing the scenery again. Since it's already in the scenery
library, you don't need to remove it from or add it to the scenery library during reinstallation.

Let me know if you need further assistance!
You could also post a list or a screenshot of the contents of the scenery folder and I might tell you exactly what has
caused the problem.

Best regards,
Lars

Continuing...

The configurator was in a launched state where I could click to download the SCA fix, I installed it, launched sim and can confirm all is PERFECT.

Confirming tho that configurator is still not launching correctly. Launches greyed out and locks up.

Additionally now I can't use the configurator without getting the administrator error. Launching as admin does not help.

Additionally I did a re-install in this order:

Install fresh, Install FTX fix, run updater and install updates released yesterday.

same issue.

Got home and ran the updater, this is the error I received during the install of the updates.

The compatibility patch for Southern California has been released [smile]
It should fix the described problem and provide a fitting color match for the area.
Btw. you can switch both files shown above back to "BGL" - the last one has nothing to do
with the problems and only provides AI traffic. You should disable this file / AI traffic via the
Scenery Configurator if you want to.

You can get the update via the Scenery Configurator (Check for updates) and then download the
compatibility patch which can be found at the bottom of the KTNP configuration page or on the product page:
http://29palms-store.de/home/18-ktnp-twentynine-palms.html

I hope this works for you!

Hi Lars,

Thank you and the team!! Fantastic price for a killer piece of scenery, we'd love to iron out the kinks and call this a "TSL Wings of Gold" product!

  • Disable KTNP in ORBX's AEC tool (Airport Elevation Correction)

DONE
  • Make sure that KTNP is above SCA (best: at the top) of your scenery library. It looks like it isn't since all the additonal objects you're seeing should be excluded by the KTNP scenery.

DONE

Same issue remains.

Hi and thank you very much for the feedback and the stream! [smile]
This often happens when new products have been released with overlapping coverage areas which causes
conflicting scenery elements.
I will look into this asap but I have to install SCA first.

What you should check:
  • Disable KTNP in ORBX's AEC tool (Airport Elevation Correction)
  • Make sure that KTNP is above SCA (best: at the top) of your scenery library. It looks like it isn't since all the additonal objects you're seeing should be excluded by the KTNP scenery.
Let me know if that works for you!
Best regards,
Lars

I initially was having the transparent taxiway and planes falling into invisible canyons issue...that was fixed by changing the BGL to BGX on the following scenery files...

However I'm still having a weird issue where I can see the trademark blue ORBX hangars inside your gorgeous hangars! I'd appreciate any help! Viewers really enjoyed seeing the product on stream tonight!
